Title: Zero no Tsukaima F 12
Post by: Kunio-kun on June 17, 2012, 09:54:20 PM
Lemon-chan no Tsukaima is now complete!!
Thank you to those who stuck with us.
Thank you even more if you stayed with us since first season.
Will there be an OVA?  Maybe, I don't know...

I love Louise's face in the ending.

Now, what should we do next season?

Because nobody likes xvid, it's an ancient codec, and h264 is better in every way.

Thank you very much SS, weekend is over so I suppose I'll have to save my marathon for another day.  I always appreciate your quality work and your work with ZnT S1+ was one of the shows that began my following fansubs.

Keep up the great work, I look forward to your future projects.

First thx Static for this 4th season and your awesome work from the 1st til now. :]

Because nobody likes xvid, it's an ancient codec, and h264 is better in every way.

You re maybe right but there s still a lot of people who are watching with the XviD format and I guess that s why Static keeps releasing XviD versions of their projects.

But yeah, please get episode 2 xvid audio thank you :))

BDs tend to be a lot of work for shows we've just finished subbing. Quality source raws need to be acquired, a new work raw needs to be encoded, most of the typesetting has to be tweaked, if not redone, the whole show typically needs to be re-timed, QC has to go over the whole thing again and fix any consistency issues that might have arisen as the show progressed, and then it has to be encoded again for release. The only two jobs that don't have to be redone are translation and editing, and they often get some work from new scenes/dialogue. Typically it's only worth doing if it's a show the staff particularly enjoyed, and nobody feels this way about Zero. On the bright side, somebody mentioned in another thread that Doki was ripping our subs and using them for their BD releases, so if you really want some Blu-ray Louise, you should probably check them out.

Before thinking about the plan for next season, let's not forget that there are 2 episodes of Shakugan no Shanatan Final Destruction that have not been subbed.

I think Sword Art Online would fit pretty well for your next show, and I'd personally like some high quality subs for it. Thank you for subbing all of ZnT though, it was a long but fun ride.

Thank you very much for finishing this season.

Static-subs was one of the very first groups I started off with what feels like so long ago, and Zero no Tsukaima had always had a place in my heart as one of the first animes I've watched that weren't 'mainstream'. And though it's sad to see the end, it was quite a memorable, long journey, one I'm glad to have started and ended with SS.

Cheers.

Thanks for all the hard work... I prefer to marathon watch your release from the start. Noticed that I had episode 1&2 by a lesser group and downloaded your torrents. They link to your old tracker, tracker.staticsubs instead of tracker.minglong. Would greatly appreciate a tracker update or a batch torrent, if you are so inclined...

For those asking about an XVid for #2, I have one. It's a re-render of the MKV, but it has the hardsubs and audio...
